The Beverly Arts Center located at 2407 W 111th Street, Chicago, Illinois 60655 is looking for Teaching Artists to work in their Outreach Department, which serves CPS and private Chicago schools and private and public suburban schools, providing arts-enrichment programming in-school and after-school to over 6000 students yearly. The BAC hires professional artists in all disciplines of art: Theatre, Music, Dance, Visual Arts, and Film to provide these workshops. The BAC Outreach Department is currently in need of the following Teaching Artists to fill immediate openings:
VOICE - Singing
PIANO - One-on-one lessons
DANCE - All genres, but Hip Hop especially
VISUAL ARTS - to teach in-school Visual Arts classes to grade K-8
MUSICAL DIRECTORS - for in-school and after-school plays
DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY - for School of Arts workshops at the BAC
Teaching Artists must hold a Bachelor's degree in their field and/or hold commesurate experience. Teaching Artists must be able to pass a background check and finger-printing. Experience in teaching in their field is appreciated.
